Career Coaching Your Senior

The Senior year is the time for students to finalize their career plans and begin the job search and/or graduate school application process. Below are some tips and links to other parts of the web site that might be helpful for you and your student throughout this year.

This year your student should:

Learn about (and begin) the job search, interview process and appropriate etiquette.

The Senior Job Search Handbook (PDF) provides a step-by-step guide for your student's job search process, including references to other booklets which might be helpful.

Get another internship to broaden their experiences and their professional contacts.

Encourage your student to use our job and internship website.

Prepare for graduate or professional school; take tests, complete applications, write personal statements and get reference letters by January.
