Biography

As professor of bar services, Yvonne Twiss manages bar-related programs and offerings at the Law School, providing critical instruction and support to students as they prepare for the bar exam. She has developed and serves as instructor for one of the first for-credit bar preparatory courses in the nation. In addition to her duties as professor of bar services, Yvonne teaches a course in legal analysis to second year law students. Previously, Yvonne was an associate attorney at Porter, Wright, Morris & Arthur LLP, in Columbus, Ohio, specializing in financial institution regulatory compliance and technology law. While practicing law, Yvonne authored several articles and was a frequent lecturer on the subject of emerging privacy regulation. While a law student at Capital University Law School, where she graduated valedictorian, Yvonne was a member of the Law Review and a legal research and writing teaching assistant for two years. Her earlier professional experience includes marketing and public relations for The Columbus Dispatch and ThisWeek Community Newspapers. Yvonne is a member of the Ohio and Columbus bar associations.
