Biography

Dr. Elene Kent is currently serving as department chair in the School of Management and Leadership. Her areas of expertise are business management and teaching and learning pedagogies using instructional technology. She has made several presentations at the Lilly Conference on College Teaching and Learning in Bethesda, Md., and also served as a peer reviewer for Lilly Conferences.

She has been among the early adopters of online learning technologies at Capital, including use of the iLearn course management system and our Echo 360 lecture capture, and she has facilitated student learning with several online business simulation programs in recent years.

Dr. Kent served as a reviewer of students’ experiential learning on the University Competency and Assessment Panel (UCAP) for many years, and also reviewed online courses for Blackboard.
