Biography
Nickette DePass-Surgeon has been a nurse since 2010. She is an alumni of Capital University and a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society for Nursing.

Her clinical focus is Adult Health and Gerontology. Nickette DePass-Surgeon is passionate about Palliative and Hospice Care and has worked extensive with end of life patients. She has provided nursing care to clients in Palliative and Hospice, Medical Surgical, Progressive Care, Rehabilitation, and Home Care environments.

Nickette DePass-Surgeon believes holistic nursing care is a foundation of nursing education. Her goal is to provide nursing education with a focus on holistic care of the body, mind, emotions and spirit; teaching students to be mindful of social and cultural differences as they provide care to clients in a culturally diverse environment.

Her research interest is examining how holistic care can impact quality of life at end of life.
