Emergency Closures

The president or his/her designee has the sole authority to delay the beginning of classes and activities, cancel classes or close the University in a weather emergency, including but not limited to extreme cold, blizzard, ice or loss of power. For specific details related to emergency closures due to severe weather, refer to the severe weather operations policy for the Bexley Campus.

If an emergency requires response by off-campus emergency personnel, the command of the incident will shift to the responding agency (e.g., Bexley Police Department, Columbus Police or Fire departments, HAZMAT). Upon their arrival, Capital University personnel will assist and support the responders as needed.
